SafeDAO Governance Analytic Dashboard: Update Metric and Refine new definition
Date: May 28, 2024
GM SafeDAO folks!
We are excited to announce the latest enhancements to the SafeDAO Governance Analytic Dashboard. With the recent changes in the transferability of SAFE tokens, we are now able to activate and display key metrics that were initially planned but previously unimplementable due to token non-transferable.
Detailed Updates
Metric Adjustments and Revised Definitions
- Redefinition of Delegate and Voter Roles:
- Delegate: Defined as addresses with multiple delegators and a minimum of 5,000 Safe voting power.
- Voter Page: The transition from a delegate-centric page to a voter page allows us to include all individuals with voting capabilities, thus broadening our analytic scope.

Updated Voter Status Definitions:
- Active: Participants who have engaged in at least one activity in the last three sprints.
- Inactive: Those who have participated in at least one sprint at any time.
- Ghost: Addresses that have not participated in any voting activity.
- Most Recent Votes: We now track the three most recent votes per sprint, providing a more relevant and timely perspective on voter activity.

Activation of Existing Metrics:
- Circulating Supply: With SAFE tokens now being transferable, this metric tracks the volume of tokens actively tradable in the public market.
- Holding Period: Provides insights into the average duration that SAFE tokens are held by their owners before being transferred or sold.
- Share of Votable Supply: Indicates the percentage of the circulating supply that is currently delegated and ready for voting. This metric was envisioned from the start but is only now being implemented due to the change in token transferability.
